Day 10 - your physical constitution

Sorry. I couldn't resist!
I was always a healthy kid.
Never had an ear infection. Never broke a bone.
Rarely got sick.
But when I was 8, I landed badly while doing gymnastics in Phys Ed. They had another student help me to the school nurse's office. Mrs. Householder pronounced, "Well if you can walk on it, it's probably not broken."
The wisdom of the time was that sprains were no big thing. My parents couldn't afford visits to the doctor unless it was something major, so we did what rural folks do: we soaked it it Epsom salts, iced the sprain, and wrapped my ankle in an Ace bandage so I could walk.
My ankle hasn't been right since.
I've sprained it at least once a year for the past 40 years. It hurts when it rains or snows and dumps me on the pavement when I get tired.
In my 30s, I was a member of a healthy living community on LJ. Someone there commented that they'd moved away from home, were eating healthier, and were sicker than they'd ever been in their life. The first commenter suggested Celiac Disease. I googled the symptoms and commented back, "I think you just saved my life."
I've been gluten free for nearly a decade now and am enjoying the fact that food doesn't make me sick.
I've lost both fallopian tubes over the years, leaving me unable to conceive without IVF, which I'm not willing to do.
I have depression and anxiety.
But I'm relatively healthy otherwise.
Heart, lungs, and other organs are working well.
