I’ve only had a few best friends in my life.

The first was in primary school.  I fell in love with her.  She moved away when we were 13.

I met my second best friend in high school.  We shared the same circle of friends and met up for lunch.  I’m proud to say that we’ve remained close…30 years and counting.

My current best friend is an amazing woman.  Writer, artist, world-traveller, independent spirit.
She understands me.  And she literally saved my life.

And above all of these is my partner of 26 years.
We’re unconventional, but it works, and I wouldn’t trade him for the world.
