My silly kitten is getting to be a handful at 4.5 months old.
Hobbes gets into everything.
He pushes objects off tabletops just to watch them fall.
He practices opening doors - pushing and pulling them open and closed - until he gets it right.
He investigates anything new brought into the house to see if it can be used as:
1. a toy
2. an ambush spot
3. food
He checks up on us as we move from room to room.
And in the mornings and evenings, he races around the house like his tail is on fire.
On the weekend, I brought home a new Easter cactus and placed it on the bedside table. Hobbes walked all the way around it, sniffing at the leaves, flowers and soil. Then he took an experimental bite (because he's always on the lookout for more food).
.
I guess he didn't like the waxy texture very much.
He's left it alone ever since.
It's quite possibly the only thing in the house that he hasn't managed to eat...
He also checks every cardboard shipping box that arrives. I'm sure he thinks that our other cat, Maggie, can't see him if his head is not in view.
At night, he curls up next to me and purrs until we both fall asleep.
Recently, he's begun climbing up between the layers of blankets to surprise me.
I love him to pieces.
