Garden Update

Despite all the rain, my garden is coming along very well.
The first rose to bloom was 'Summer Wine'.
The Rush Gallica roses have started to bloom as well. I love their constantly shifting colours: pink, purple, bluish, and almost grey.
My Mother's Day weekend bouquet consisted of the purple roses alongside two varieties of burgundy-toned iris.
The herbs are coming along well. The purple sage is almost so large as to need its own bed! I planted more species Echinacea, some onions, and some basil this weekend. The walking onions in the old bed have grown hip-deep and they're starting to do pirouettes. They must be happy.
We also enjoyed a beautiful sunset on Saturday evening as storm clouds moved in.
