What did you do in 2017 that you'd never done before?
I helped rescue a kitten!  While driving, I spotted a small black kitten along in a parking lot and pulled over to help him.  Two other drivers did the same.  The kitten ran for shade (on a 95°F day) and ended up lodged in my car's engine.  It took about 10 minutes to get him out.  One of the men who was helping him offered to take the kitten home to his daughters. 

What was your favourite moment of the year?
Cooking beef noodle stir-fry for over a dozen family members (including four pre-schoolers), getting lots of compliments and no leftovers.

What was your least favourite moment of the year?
In February, someone hit my car (we were stopped at a light) and totaled it.

What would you like to have in 2017 that you lacked in 2016?
A septic system, insulation in the walls, and shelving on the walls, please.

What places did you visit?
I spent a week in North Carolina with my brother, nieces, and great-niece and great-nephew.

What dates from 2017 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Earth Day.  My niece made a cake for me.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Buying a car right before I left for vacation.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
I got bronchitis the week before Christmas. :\

What was the best thing someone bought you?
My sweetie bought me a fidget cube.

Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My hubby, who took my best friend moving in with us with incredible grace. <3

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Someone I called a sibling threw a loved one out on the street with only a week’s notice.

Where did most of your money go?
Food.

What did you get really excited about?
I bought an assortment of Asclepiad plants and got three of them to bloom!

What song will always remind you of 2017?
No idea...

A little fatter and, after buying 2 cars this year, quite a bit poorer.

What do you wish you'd done more of? 
Drawing, reading, and cooking.

What do you wish you'd done less of?
Worrying.

I've really been enjoying Star Trek: Discovery.

What was the best book you read?
Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman. I can’t wait to see the film.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
Greta Van Fleet.

New glasses!

What was your favorite film of this year?
Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Insulation in the walls. It was 14°F last night.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2017?
Quiet & comfortable.

Hobbes.

What political issue stirred you the most?
The fight against Drumpf.

Badger.

Who was the best new person you met?
My 6-month old great-niece, Liliana.

What was the best thing you ate?
Pad Thai, Thai dumplings, siu mai.
