Day 09 - your beliefs
I grew up with a Catholic mother and an atheist father.
Neither one stuck.
I always followed my own path into the woods.
I self-identified as Pagan from about age 8.
I've never been very observant. Coming from a Catholic upbringing, anything that seemed like ritual left me cold. I never studied Wicca or other pagan paths. I just went my own way, doing what little magics I could in the world.
In my late 30s, I found out I could not conceive children without intensive medical treatment.
It was all I'd ever wanted. It completely broke any faith I had.
Now, I'm still pagan-inclined, but even less observant.
I celebrate the little things and am coming to terms with a life without children.
This year, I became a great-aunt twice.
I'm still enjoying nature, though.
